Springtime potions

I remember as a child collecting petals from lovely smelling flowers to turn into perfume. We would crush them up, add some water and try to sell it to the neighbours. No one ever bought any, but it was great fun.

My girls are a bit young yet to be making perfume, so instead we set about making a magic potion.

We made the most of the beautiful sunny day and went for a walk in the woods, collecting sticks, pinecones, daisies and dandelions.

When we got home I gave the children a big bowl, some water and asked them to make me a potion and find the best stirring stick they could find.

After much deliberaton they decided a medium sized thick stick worked best, and then they tried to turn me into a frog, ribbit, ribbit.
